About me
Meeta Sharma, MBBS, MD, is Section Director, Division of Endocrinology, MedStar Washington Hospital Center, Medical Director, Diabetes Team, MWHC Regional Director, Endocrinology, MedStar South.
Dr. Sharma received her MBBS degree from Lady Hardinge Medical College in New Delhi, India. Her residency was at the VA Medical Center, Washington, D.C., and she completed an Endocrinology fellowship at the George Washington University Hospital. She is the author and reviewer of many articles, chapters and abstracts on Diabetes and other Endocrinology topics. She has participated in writing the Endocrinology syllabus and questions for the ACP's MKSAP. Dr. Sharma has also lectured extensively at community events and CME conferences. She is an active member of the American Diabetes Association and the Endocrine Society.
