About me

Paul A. Sack, MD, started working at Medstar Union Memorial Hospital in 2005 after completing his medical training at the University of Maryland, School of Medicine.   He is the Assistant Chief in the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism at Medstar Union Memorial Hospital.  He is involved in patient care, clinical research, and the education of medical students, residents, and endocrinology fellows.  

Dr. Sack's clinical interests include the management of Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes, Thyroid Disease, Adrenal Disorders, and Pituitary Diseases.   He performs diagnostic thyroid and parathyroid ultrasounds and performs fine needle aspriation of thyroid nodules.

Dr. Sack currently serves on the Board of the Maryland Chapter of the American Diabetes Association. 

Dr. Sack has been named a Top Doctor in Baltimore magazine for Diabetes Care in 2013, 2016, 2017, 2019, and 2020.

    Dr. Sack was great. He took my health history very seriously and tried to look at things holistically and from his point of view. He listened thoroughly and was very compassionate and kind. I appreciated his time and what he could offer to my complex medical issue.
