Mandy Dorn

Mandy is a member of the MedStar Institute for Innovation leadership team who shares responsibility for overseeing operations and administration efforts, all made possible by an awesome team that advances priority initiatives and manages human resources, finances, communications, and other needs essential to the team’s success. Her key focus areas include building the priority initiatives community of practice; evolving and enhancing workplace culture under the system Connected Workforce strategy; and further communicating and advancing impact, internal innovation culture efforts, and system connections for the MedStar Institute for Innovation.

Mandy joined MedStar Health in 2016 as a program director. Over the years she has supported a variety of strategic communications, external alliance, and operational initiatives, including the COVID-19 telehealth response; MedStar Innovation and Design (MIND) Lab (prior to its current real estate leadership); and Health for America (HFA) at MedStar Health, a past innovation fellowship program for early-career professionals embedded in MedStar Institute for Innovation from 2015 to mid-2018.

Before joining MedStar Health, Mandy previously consulted for MedStar Institute for Innovation; Forté Foundation; and a global pharmaceutical company. Prior to this, she led public/media relations for the Americas talent team at EY. She also held client-serving roles at leading public relations agencies after beginning her career completing the Orr Fellowship, an entrepreneurial fellowship program. Mandy graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Purdue University with a bachelor’s degree in communication.
