Why choose us

At MedStar Washington Hospital Center, our Infusion Center offers a wide range of IV therapies. In addition to caring for oncology patients, we also offer infusion services for patients with non-cancer diagnoses, as many of the treatments used for patients with other conditions are similar to cancer therapies in their preparation, administration, and side effects. Plus, as part of the MedStar Georgetown Cancer Institute, we give patients access to breakthrough treatments and clinical trials not available elsewhere.

Our center features 31 treatment bays, each in a private screened-off area, and 4 beds for non-ambulatory patients, making it convenient to access the care you need when you need it. Our certified nurses treat more than 50 patients daily while playing a proactive role in helping our patients avoid complications and discomfort from their symptoms.

We have a dedicated on-site specialty pharmacy, ensuring shorter wait times for medications, and are located in close proximity to a variety of providers within our cancer center, making it easier for patients to schedule other appointments on the same day.

To ensure patients are comfortable during treatment, we offer a wide range of amenities, including lunch and light snacks, as well as televisions in each treatment bay to help pass the time during treatment. Patients also receive validated parking.
