Cindy Tanenbaum, MHA, brings more than 25 years of operations leadership experience in the information technology (IT) and healthcare industries to her position as Assistant Vice President for Information Services at MedStar Harbor Hospital.
Prior to joining MedStar Health, Tanenbaum was a consultant to private and government organizations in healthcare technology and she helped found a health benefits performance software company. She also managed a portfolio of IS projects for a large managed care company and completed a fellowship in hospital administration at George Washington University Hospital. As a former Occupational Therapist, Tanenbaum worked at the bedside for eight years and published research in cognitive rehabilitation. Her areas of specialty were traumatic brain injury and neurological disorders. She earned her BS from Towson University and her Masters in Health Services Administration at George Washington University.
Tanenbaum has held previous roles at MedStar as Performance Improvement consultant, IS Director, IS Sr. Director and AVP for Diversified Businesses.
