Bill Gayne is Chief Financial Officer at MedStar Washington Hospital Center and MedStar Health Research Institute. Working with the corporate MedStar finance team, Bill is responsible for developing and maintaining a strategic financial plan, annual operating and capital budgets, providing financial analysis of new programs, financial reporting and analyses, and patient revenue activities.
Previously, Bill served as Chief Financial Officer for a large academic medical center. His responsibilities included all accounting and auditing activities, capital and operating budgets, long-range financial planning, reimbursements, cash management, accounts payable, payroll, decision support, benchmarking, and cost accounting.
He has also provided consulting and audit services to various healthcare organizations. Bill is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from the College of William and Mary.
