About me
Aakriti Arora, MBBS, MD, is a hematologist oncologist who specializes in solid tumors and benign blood disorders. She combines broad training in cancer care and hematology with treatment guidance grounded in the latest medical evidence. Dr. Arora looks beyond a single result to help identify options that are informed, appropriate, and grounded in hope. This can be especially helpful when symptoms, blood work, imaging, or pathology do not point to one clear explanation.
Dr. Arora begins by listening to the patient, then reviewing the referral, medical history, and tests already completed. She brings together findings from imaging, pathology, blood work, and the patient’s own experience to identify how the information may shape the next step. If more detail can help guide the plan, Dr. Arora may discuss additional testing such as molecular profiling, a lab test that looks for specific genes, proteins, or other markers in tissue or blood. As the findings become clearer, she and the patient discuss options such as monitoring, chemotherapy, targeted therapy, immunotherapy, clinical trial consideration, or survivorship support in a way that reflects their overall health, daily life, and goals.
Patients also have access to a comprehensive, multidisciplinary team when diagnosis or treatment-planning benefits from input across specialties. Dr. Arora works with referring physicians, pathologists, radiologists, surgeons, radiation oncologists, and nurse navigators to coordinate care throughout the patient’s journey.
Philosophy of Care
Dr. Arora recognizes that a hematology or oncology appointment can raise concerns that reach beyond the diagnosis itself, including how life may change, what choices may lie ahead, and what support may be needed. She strives to approach those conversations with honesty, clarity, and compassion, giving patients space to share what matters most to them.
She understands that patients and families need reliable guidance, time to absorb difficult information, and empathy that acknowledges medical realities without taking away hope.
