Volunteer Opportunities

Thanks for your interest in volunteering at MedStar Montgomery Medical Center.
 
MedStar Montgomery Medical Center is not accepting volunteer applications at this time. We have received numerous applications already for the summer. Our volunteer application will reopen on August 5th for fall placements. Please submit an application at that time. The requirements for admission into the Volunteer Program are as follows:

  • Completion of a Volunteer Application
  • Completion of an interview with the Volunteer Services Department
  • Criminal Background Check for Adult Volunteers 18 years old and up
  • Completion of Sitel onboarding courses
  • Completion of Health Clearance Form

Assignments are made throughout the hospital including nursing floors, emergency department, infusion oncology center, surgical waiting area, Center for Successful Aging, PACU and other administrative areas. The Women’s Board Gift Shop is looking for volunteers. 

This delightful Gift Shop is a great way to serve your community and have some fun doing it. The Shop is open M-F with volunteers working 3-hour shifts.  The schedule is flexible depending on your schedule and how much time you want to devote to volunteering.  Full training is provided.  The Gift Shop is located in the lobby of MedStar Montgomery Hospital at 18101 Prince Philip Drive in Olney.  All proceeds support MedStar Montgomery Medical Center and The Women’s Board Scholarship Program for students in the medical field.  For more information email:  info@WomensBoard.net.

Volunteer Position of Social Media Manager for the Women’s Board, supporting MedStar Montgomery Medical Center. Position is to oversee social media and newsletter outreach for the Women’s Board.

Activities include: Planning and developing social media campaigns using Canva or other design tools, crafting compelling content or getting it developed, posting content across social media accounts, engaging with customers on different channels, analyzing running campaigns and ads, being on top of the latest social media trends.
