Welcome to internal medicine at MedStar Washington Hospital Center
Internal Medicine at MedStar Washington Hospital Center is a faculty and residency primary care practice that provides personalized and comprehensive adult care for patients ages 18 and older. Our team of expert providers is unique in that it not only offers full-time faculty physicians and nurse practitioners but resident physicians as well. As a patient, this means you will receive more time and personal attention for your health condition, ensuring the best possible outcome.
Residents are doctors who have completed medical school and are pursuing a three-year educational program in internal medicine. Attending/Faculty physicians are board-certified doctors who have completed their residency training. They supervise and work closely with the residents in the practice.
Our providers are committed to providing you with the highest quality medical care. We are focused on helping you manage your overall health with preventative care, annual physicals, and treatment when you are ill. And by selecting a MedStar Health provider, you gain access to the entire integrated MedStar Health system, which includes 10 hospitals, thousands of exceptional physician specialists, over 30 urgent care locations, an extensive physical therapy network, and much more.
