Conveniently located on the first floor of MedStar National Rehabilitation Hospital, our orthopedic center provides individualized care for a variety of movement disorders. Whether you have an acute injury or need pre and post operative care, our physical therapists are experts in individualized therapy for orthopedic conditions and injuries.

Karen Amis attended Duke University where she received her master’s degree in physical therapy. Karen is a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) and she also specializes in the following:

Nicole Shenk received her bachelor's degree in kinesiology with a focus on sports medicine from the University of Virginia. Nicole continued her education at Old Dominion University where she earned a doctoral degree in physical therapy. She is certified in selective functional movement assessment (SFMA) and her rehabilitation specialties include:

  • Concussion Management and Care
  • Knee, Foot, and Ankle Therapy

Stephanie Bolter received her bachelor's degree in kinesiology from The College of William and Mary. Stephanie also completed her doctoral degree in physical therapy from Columbia University. Stephanie specializes in the following rehabilitation areas:

Regina Faison attended Howard University where she received her bachelor's degree in physical therapy. Regina continued her education at Virginia Union University where she earned her master's degree in divinity. Regina’s rehabilitation specialties include:

  • Urinary Incontinence

Christopher Nelson received his bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from Temple University. Christopher also completed his doctoral degree in physical therapy from Nova Southeastern University. His rehabilitation specialties include:

Chukwuma “Chuck” Okeke attended Michigan State University where he earned his bachelor's degree in athletic training and kinesiology. He also received his doctoral degree in physical therapy from Howard University. Chuck is a certified athletic trainer. Throughout his career, Chuck has served as a staff athletic trainer for both the Washington Redskins and the Miami Dolphins. His rehabilitation specialties include:

Jonyshia Scruggs received her associate degree in physical therapy assistance from Onondaga Community College before earning her bachelor's degree in athletic training from the State University of New York at Cortland. Jessica Taylor attended Delaware Technical Community College where she received her associate degree in physical therapy assistance. Jessica specializes in:

Tyler Toggas attended the University of Maryland, College Park, where he received his bachelor's degree in kinesiology. Tyler also earned his associate degree in physical therapy from Montgomery College. Tyler is a personal trainer certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM).
