Jaine Cao, MD

Jaine Cao, MD was born in Jinzhou, Liaoning, China and immigrated to Houston, Texas, U.S.A. as a child. She spent most of her life in Texas prior to moving to D.C. She graduated from Rice University and completed a combined M.D./M.P.H. program at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center with an emphasis on community health and disease prevention. She received her general psychiatry training from Baylor Scott & White Health. Her personal experience with acculturation at a young age and her Christian faith have grounded her in values of altruism, diversity, equity and inclusion that have informed much of her academic and professional trajectory. Dr. Cao is excited to further her training at Georgetown and is looking forward to developing her skills in culturally sensitive care and systems-based psychiatry.
