Volunteer Opportunities

We are excited to welcome back our Volunteers to MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital and are looking for new dynamic individuals to join our team.

We offer several exciting programs:

Guest Ambassador Program: This program is designed for university students who wish to learn more about careers in the medical field and interact with patients. Placements are available on the medical floors and in the Emergency Department. This semester-long program will improve your skills in communication and teamwork.

Junior Volunteer Program: This is our summer High School program for students between ages 16-18. Starting in mid to late June and ending in August prior to schools re-opening. Students volunteer four hours on assigned days in roles to comfort patients. This program is limited so apply early in February.

Adult Volunteer Program: This program is designed for adults ages 18 and up. Many roles and opportunities available. Some of the opportunities available are patient support, administrative support, Auxiliary gift shop, greeting, wayfinding, music, and art therapy. Pet therapy is one of our most desired programs.

Auxiliary: This team is our FUN-raising event planners who help at vendors sales, bus trips, and other fun events.
