Our physicians and nurses have the experience and skill necessary to care for uncomplicated as well as high-risk deliveries. Obstetricians, pediatricians, and anesthesiologists are available around the clock and specialists in newborns and high-risk pregnancies are on site as well. We offer compassionate care from before you go into labor through to the day you take your newborn home.
Prenatal care from our physicians includes a full range of services for expectant parents, including:
- Pregnancy testing
- Obstetric hospitalist services
- Genetic services including prenatal diagnosis and screening
While most births occur without complications, it is comforting to know that our MedStar Health hospitals have Level I, Level IIB, Level III or Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Units, and neonatal care units. Our multidisciplinary team cares for babies who are born prematurely, have a low birth weight, or have other medical complications.
