Located just off Route 108 and Route 29, our Ellicott City site offers plenty of parking, a comfortable environment, and convenient access to a compassionate team of physical therapists and occupational therapists. Working closely with MedStar Health’s orthopaedic, sports medicine, and primary care specialists, we provide customized therapy for a wide range of conditions and ages. From pediatric physical therapy to specialized hand therapy, our team has advanced training in a variety of unique areas.     Bryan Caplan attended the University of Maryland where he received his bachelor’s degree in journalism. Bryan also completed his doctoral degree in physical therapy from the University of Saint Augustine for Health Sciences. He is also certified in manual therapy (MTC).     James received his bachelor’s degree in biology from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He then went on to receive a master's degree in exercise and sports science from National Taiwan Normal University. James earned his doctorate in physical therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. James holds the following certifications: Corrective Exercise Specialist, Golf Fitness Specialist, and Functional Movement Screen Certified. He is fluent in Mandarin Chinese. James’ rehabilitation specialties include:

    Derrick Larkins attended the University of Maryland at College Park, where he received his bachelor’s degree in kinesiology. He also completed his doctoral degree in physical therapy from Marymount University.     Jon Roca attended Elizabethtown College where he received his bachelor’s degree in biology. He also completed his master’s degree from the University of Delaware. He is certified in manual therapy (COMT), dry needling, myofascial trigger point therapy (CMTPT), and temporomandibular joint disorder. Jon participates in various martial arts and understands the physical strains of the art with this athlete population. His rehabilitation specialties include:

    Kristen Roden-Hicks received her bachelor’s degree in health sciences from Salisbury University. She continued her education at Anne Arundel Community College where she earned her associate’s degree to become a physical therapist assistant. Kristen is a certified athletic trainer and is also certified in active release techniques (ART). Her rehabilitation specialties include:

    Kristina Strine attended the University of Kentucky where she earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise science and kinesiology. She also completed her doctoral degree in physical therapy from Ohio University. She specializes in the following rehabilitation areas:

He also completed his doctorate in physical therapy from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. Jimmy is certified in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT) and is an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS). He is a Certified Exercise Expert for Ageing Adults (CEAA) and a certified in strength and conditioning (CSCS). Jimmy specializes in the following:
