Kimberly Scott is an Occupational Therapist who joined MedStar in 2018. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Biology from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, followed by a Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from Howard University. Kimberly holds a certification in the use of physical agent modalities and has experience and special interest in the treatment of upper extremity and hand conditions, post operative rehabilitation as well as treatment of neurological conditions. Her rehab expertise includes:

How should I prepare for my physical therapy appointment?
Eat a balanced meal 1-2 hours prior to therapy. Drink about 2.5 cups of water prior to therapy. Take any prescribed pain medications at least 1 hour prior to therapy. Dress in T-shirts, athletic tops, sweatpants, shorts, yoga pants, or athletic leggings. Wear athletic/walking shoes and avoid open toed sandals, flip-flops, and high heels. Ensure proper access to the treatment area.
