Welcome to physical therapy at Bel Air — Orthopedic and Sports Center

You can find our physical therapy clinic under the same roof as MedStar Health’s renowned orthopedic surgeons and sports medicine specialists. Located in the newly completed MedStar Health Bel Air Medical Campus, our clinic offers a wide variety of services, including the treatment of orthopedic and sports-related injuries and conditions. We offer sports injury rehabilitation, emphasizing early intervention and training regimens to promote safe performance and prevent injury or re-injury.

Monday: 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Tuesday: 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Wednesday: 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Thursday: 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Friday: 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Our providers

  • Alpa Buege, PT, DPT, AIB-VR, Clinic Director

    Alpa Buege received her bachelor's degree in Kinesiological Sciences from the University of Maryland, College Park. She went on to complete her doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Maryland School of Medicine, Baltimore. Alpa is certified in Vestibular Rehabilitation. Alpa’s rehabilitation specialties include:

  • Lisa Proutt, PT, MPT, Clinic Coordinator

    Lisa Proutt attended Towson University where she received her bachelor’s degree in health education. She also earned her master’s degree in physical therapy from Slippery Rock University. Lisa specializes in the following rehabilitation areas:

    • Graston Technique Manual Therapy

    • Neck Pain and Lower Back Pain

    • Orthopedic Injuries and Conditions

  • Gabriella DeJuliis, PT, DPT

    Gabi DeJuliis attended Washington College, where she received her bachelor’s degree. She also completed her doctoral degree in physical therapy from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. Gabi is a Titleist Performance Institute Certified Golf Fitness Instructor (TPI) with special training in golf performance medicine. Gabi also specializes in the following rehabilitation areas:

  • Susan Dumler, OTR/L

    Susan Dumler completed her bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy from Towson University. Susan is a certified hand therapist (CHT) and certified upper-extremity lymphedema specialist (CLT-UE). She is an expert in the following rehabilitation areas:

    • Amputation Rehabilitation

    • Arthritis Treatment

    • Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) Treatment

    • Lymphedema Management

    • Neurorehabilitation

  • Matthew Falter, PTA

    Matt received his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Salisbury University and Associate’s degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from Carroll Community College. He is also a certified personal trainer as of 2021. Matt enjoys working with all patient demographics, but his favorite are athletes and post-op. In his free time, Matt likes to stay active outdoors, workout, and play softball and golf.

  • Stacy Goldstein, OTR/L

    Stacy Goldstein received her bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy from Towson University. Stacy is a certified hand therapist (CHT) and certified lymphedema specialist (CLT). Her rehabilitation specialties include:

  • Sarah Harrison, PT, DPT, OCS

    Sarah Harrison attended Ithaca College where she received her B.S. and M.S. in Clinical Science/Physical Therapy. She earned a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Temple University. She is certified by the State of Maryland to perform dry needling and is board certified by the APTA as an orthopedic clinical specialist. Sarah specializes in the following rehabilitation areas:

  • Andrea (Andi) Miller, OT/L

    Andrea (Andi) Miller received her bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy from Towson University. Andi is a certified hand therapist (CHT) and her rehabilitation specialties include:

  • Christopher Palmer, PT, DPT

    Christopher Palmer attended Towson University, where he received his bachelor’s degree. He also completed his doctoral degree in physical therapy from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. Chris specializes in the following rehabilitation areas:

  • Brian M. Powell, PT, DPT

    Brian received his Bachelor's in Biology from Villanova University and Doctorate of Physical Therapy from University of Delaware. After graduation he completed a Sports Physical Therapy Residency at University of Delaware focusing on surgical procedures as well as on-field injury management and sport-specific rehabilitation. He has worked in numerous outpatient PT settings and has taught Continuing Education courses focusing on modalities and functional strengthening. In his spare time, he enjoys playing baseball and spending time with his wife and two children.

  • Lorraine Stuchinski, PT, MPT

    Lorraine Stuchinski attended the University of Delaware, where she received her bachelor’s degree. Lorraine also completed her master’s degree in physical therapy from George Washington University. She specializes in the following rehabilitation areas:

    • ACL Return-to-Play Testing

    • Dry Needling

    • Neck Pain and Lower Back Pain

    • Orthopedic Injuries and Conditions

  • Virginia Sakell, PTA

    Virginia Sakell received her bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Maryland at College Park. She also earned her associate degree from Baltimore City Community College. Virginia’s rehabilitation specialties include:

  • Susan Marzicola Walter OTR/L, MS, RN, CLT-LANA

    Susan Walter received her Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from Towson University, Baltimore Maryland and is a Registered Nurse. She completed a specialty certification in lymphatic studies through Klose Training in 2010 utilizing the Vodder method. She is a certified lymphedema therapist treating both upper and lower extremities as well as head and neck. Susan achieved further lymphatic certification through the Lymphology Association of North America. She is a Harford County native.
