The Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery Residency at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital is a fully ACGME accredited 5 year comprehensive training program. The program consists of 3 residents a year with a General Surgery internship for the first year (PGY1). Under the auspices of the Department of Otolaryngology, rotations during the internship year include 4 months of General Surgery, 3 months of Otolaryngology and 1 month each of Anesthesia, Neurosurgery, ER, Critical Care and Trauma. The PGY-2 through PGY-5 years are divided amongst Georgetown University, the Washington Hospital Center, the Washington DC Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Children’s National Medical Center, and Sibley Hospital.
