The center features expertise in sports medicine, focusing on early intervention after injury for amateur and professional athletes. Physical Therapists and Other Specialists

Dennis Grandic attended the State University of New York (SUNY) at Stony Brook where he received his bachelor's degree in psychology. Dennis continued his education at New York Medical College and received his master's degree in physical therapy. He also obtained his Master's of Business Administration in healthcare administration from the Zicklin School of Business. Dennis is Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Level 1 Certified in golf rehabilitation and his specialties include:

Katie Fair received her bachelor's degree in occupational therapy from James Madison University before completing her master's degree in occupational therapy from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She also has two graduate certificates, including one in low vision rehabilitation and one in advanced teaching. Katie is an adjunct faculty and guest lecturer for local occupational therapy assistant (OTA) programs and has presented at conferences on vision rehabilitation with the neurological population. Katie is a certified brain injury specialist (CBIS) and her rehabilitation specialties include:

Lindsay Greenwald earned her bachelor's degree in health and exercise science from Wake Forest University. Lindsay continued her education at Duke University where she received her doctoral degree in physical therapy. She also has advanced specialty training from Emory University in vestibular rehabilitation for vertigo and concussions. Lindsay specializes in treating general orthopedics and neurological disorders, including:

Lenora Brasher attended the University of Texas at Austin for her undergraduate degree before completing her master's degree in occupational therapy at Shenandoah University. She is a certified hand therapist (CHT) and specializes in the following:

  • Shoulder, Hand, and Wrist Injuries and Splints

Suzanne Redmond has been a speech-language pathologist at MedStar since 1999. She received a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in speech-language pathology from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. In addition to providing speech-language pathology services through D.C., Maryland, and Virginia, Suzanne served on the Executive Board of the District of Columbia Speech-Language-Hearing Association for 10 years, including two terms as president. She has published and presented at local and national conferences on aphasia group treatment, clinical ethics, and quality of life. Suzanne specializes in the following:

Brownrigg Snow began her career with MedStar in 2003. She earned her bachelor's degree in communication disorders from the University of Virginia and her master's degree in speech-language pathology from James Madison University. A co-founder of the Aphasia Mentorship Program, Brownrigg has published and presented on topics related to aphasia. She specializes in the following areas:

Melissa Youtzy attended Grand Valley State University where she received her bachelor's degree in health professions. Melissa continued her education at Marymount University where she received her doctoral degree in physical therapy. Melissa is a board-certified orthopedic clinical specialist (OSC) and her expertise includes:
